: Regarding monuments; there are several
churches in the municipality. The church of Filgueira da Barranca
stands out due to its age, and preserves its original Romanesque style
although it has been altered. The following churches are from the
Baroque period: Santiago of Paderne, Saint Vicente of Carres, Santa
María of Figueiredo, San Salvador de Trasanquelos, Santo Estevo de
Loureda and Santa Eulalia Probaos. The chapels of San Xoán of Medela
and San Antonio in Filgueira de Traba together with the sanctuary of
