Manor house of Lanzós

Built between 1620 and 1625, this building located in Betanzos conserves the biggest part of its initial structure except from minor modifications.

Description: The facade more outstanding elements are centred in a balcony that enlarges towards the outside held by three canzorros (decorative elements in Galician architecture used to held the cornices or balconies of a building) and a main rectilinear door that ends in a pediment. This pediment contains the coat of arms of the first earl of Maceda.

What to see: The tower of the building stands out. It has an important historical interest because of its relationship with the Irmandiñas wars. It was rebuilt in the XVII century and suffered later alterations that ended by replacing the merlons by a roof, blocking loopholes and opening new openings.
