Church of San Pedro de Cambás

This baroque church of rural style has the vestry joined to one of its sides. It is located in a place with its very same name, in Aranga.

Description: It has a rectangular floor plan and only a nave. Its walls are made of granite cut stone. The facade is sober, concentrating all the decorations on a trabeated door, a central small window, and a belfry topped by a pinnacle.

Surroundings: There is a granite calvary sculpture or cruceiro next to the church. It is placed on a 3-stair base and a quadrangular pedestal. The column has an octogonal section, and it is crowned by a Ionic capital which has volutes on the corners and angles on the sides of the upper part. It has a plain astragal with octogonal section, and an abacus with curved sides. The cross has not any image.
