Church of Santiago de Ois

Romanesque style church from the end of the XII century and beginning of the XIII c. It is located in the parish with its very same name, in Coirós.

Description: Its rectangular floor plan is structured in a nave; from
where a rectangular apse overhangs. The space between both places has a
semi-circle arch on joined semi-columns. The main facade concentrates
the scarce decoration of the exterior, where two openwork stone crosses
stand out.

Surrounding: The calvary sculpture or cruceiro de
Santiago is in the vicinity of the church. It is on a 3-step platform,
from which a plain octogonal-section column starts. The capital is
simple and small without any kind of decorations; and the cross is
plain, with no images.
