Baroque church which was risen on a Roman chapel in Santa María de Foxado, Curtis. Some remains from the original buiding are preserved: the low part of the wall of the apse, and some stones with marks from the stonemasons placed in the stairs that lead to the atrium.
Description: Simple building with only a nave covered by a false wooden vault. The apse has a barrel bault with reinforcing arches. The vestry is on the North side; and a chapel that is covered by a groin vault with five keystones is on the South. The facade is simple, having a belfy with double openings and scarce decoration.
Surroundings: There is a granite calvary sculpture or cruceiro in front of the church. It is supported by a four-step platform that has a cubic pedestal. It has square-section strut, a simple capital, and trunk shaped Latin cross. It has Christ crucified on the front, and the Virgin of La Ascensión on the back.
