Fountain of Diana the Huntress

Located on Irmáns García Naveira Square in Betanzos, the fountain of Diana the Huntress is a faithful reproduction of the Diana of Versailles sculpture. It is made of cast iron on a stone base.

Description: According to the plaque on its base, it was made in Paris
at the foundry Ducel e Hijos (Ducel and Sons), following the
project of the engineer Pedro Villar. At the feet of the statue stand
two sirens that hold a garland pedestal which holds up the sculpture of
the mythological goddess. The sculpture is attended by a buck and shows
four spouts.Chronology: 1866.
